Overage is $6 per 1,000 credits on every plan — the same rate whichever plan you’re on.
What a credit pays for
Snapshots, runs and AI examination share one currency.
A run charges a flat credit the moment it starts — launching a browser and fetching both builds costs about the same whether it renders ten stories or a thousand — and a small additional charge per screenshot after that.
Fingerprinting is where most of a bill’s savings come from. A build that can tell which stories are byte-identical between two commits skips rendering them entirely — and isn’t billed for them either. In one of our own recent pull requests, only 6 of the 358 stories in the Storybook had actually changed:
